Cajun Shrimp Pasta with Sausage

This Cajun-style shrimp pasta is an easy and flavorful dish that is sure to please the whole family. 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 pound smoked sausage, cut into

1-inch pieces

1/2 cup onion, diced

1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

8 ounces penne pasta

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded


1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Season the shrimp with the Cajun seasoning and set aside.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

5. Add the chicken broth, cream, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

6. Add the penne pasta and shrimp. Simmer for 8-10 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the shrimp is cooked through.

7. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese.

8. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes.
